Marina is a qualified Greek lawyer registered with the Athens Bar. She obtained her law degree from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and a master’s degree in Corporate Law and Finance from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens.

Marina is involved in handling diverse legal matters in the realm of shipping disputes, including London arbitration. Her practice extends to various aspects of shipping, covering both “wet” and “dry” disputes and regularly handles several types of claims, charterparty, MOA and insurance disputes as well as collisions and salvage.

Apart from her maritime focus, Marina advises clients on corporate law and finance. Her professional experience includes working in law firms both in Greece and France. During her time in Paris, she mainly dealt with corporate, civil, and private international law issues.

Marina is fluent in Greek, English and French.

RECENT EXPERIENCE:

  • Involved in charterparty, laytime and demurrage disputes;
  • Assisted in substantial collision and general average disputes;
  • Involved in handling of cargo claims and associated arrest proceedings;
  • Handled procedural aspects of a number of LMAA arbitration cases;
  • Assisted in advising shipowners on matters arising from the application of US, UK and EU sanctions;
  • Assisted shipowning companies in the procedure of setting up subsidiaries in Greece and offshore as well as in a number of corporate matters.
